Chevy Pickup

     Carol was the first to stop this one, but I knew I had to paint it. I had 3 of these trucks in my yard when I was in my 20s. I was switching engines and transmissions to get one that would run. I got a little too much caught up in "details" because of my emotional attachment, which inhibited my "design" somewhat. What the heck, I had a great time painting it.

Hi James, I've come to you via Carole Marine's blog. Nice Nocturnes. I'm a Brit from Cambridge UK. I have a question. Why are Americans so keen to paint old pickups? Carole does it, Colin Page does it and you too. Very nice I might add, but we don't paint old vans and stuff like that here. Is it something in American culture?
I've been daily blogging for two years by the way.
